Azure App Services and Azure AD

It’s common to use Azure Active Directory (AD) as the authentication mechanism when configuring security in the App Services Gateway. Configuring Azure ActiveDirectory access in Azure App Services can be a bit challenging though. You need the existing Azure Portal to configure Azure Active Directory itself. This gives you the ClientId and Allowed tenants (= AD domain related to the configured App) that you will have to enter in the Azure Preview Portal.

AzureADIdentityProvider

In the Azure Preview Portal App Url and Reply Url are automatically added. For example:
App Url: https://bvgo-appservices981696cba3fa4a8dbc71ed26f81ea318.azurewebsites.net/login/aad
Reply Url: https://bvgo-appservices981696cba3fa4a8dbc71ed26f81ea318.azurewebsites.net/signin-aad

Note that the first part of the URL is equal to the Gateway URL. That is because you specify security at the gateway level. Gateway URL:
https://bvgo-appservices981696cba3fa4a8dbc71ed26f81ea318.azurewebsites.net/

These data in turn have to be entered in the existing Azure Portal.
