We have a sollicit-response send port that picks up messages from the Messagebox. The send port sends the message to a backend system that in turn sends back an application response. The typical pattern is to put the application response in the MessageBox again. A BizTalk orchestration will then pick up the application response following a correlation set based on businessTransactionId (for example).
Suppose now we don’t have an orchestration, but still we want to send the application response back to the original source system. In that case we can create a send port that subscribes to the solicit-response send port.
