A while ago, I discussed open source software for Windows with a colleague. Multiple sites found. One of them: www.techsupportalert.com with 30 Essential Pieces Of Free (and Open) Software for Windows. Two tools I like to highlight:
- Freemind. Mind mapping software. Enables you to brainstorm and link together ideas quickly, creating “maps” of concepts similar to what you might do on a whiteboard.
- Prezi. On-line (public) presentations. Functionality to zoom in / zoom out, fluent page flow, visually very attractive. I think Microsoft Sway is a good commercial alternative to avoid the typical Powerpoint feel.
